Preserve Our Planet: Recycling By Furniture Restoration

Beautiful furniture could be as near as your own home, and you can help to conserve energy and save the planet! By restoring older furniture, you are making use of items that may have added to the landfill or otherwise have polluted our planet. At the same time, you are re-creating unique, one-of-a-kind furniture that can add elegance and sophistication to your home or office.
Take a look around your home. Is there a piece of furniture that doesn't match anything or just looks worn? What a perfect opportunity to create something 'new' from something 'old'! There are plenty of options:
- Reupholstering will change the color, the look, the feel of a chair or sofa
- Restore gleaming wood surfaces to their original luster and beauty for more years of usability
- Renovate a room by changing the color scheme - wood can be refinished in many colors ranging from light to dark
- Refurbish existing furnishings is cost effective
Many older pieces are made using real wood instead of pressboard and are worthy of taking another look at sprucing up instead of tossing away. If you are in doubt, ask a professional what it may take to restore, refinish, refurbish or renovate your existing furniture for an entirely new appearance.
It doesn't cost a fortune to have a 'new' room of furniture, and you will be doing your part to help save the planet!
